A dissertation is needed, to really do this first question justice. However, for starters. Brazil has an outstanding diversity, is a true paradise to the senses, has a mystique, vibrance and exuberance which is virtually impossible to find anywhere else.
Unfortunately, side-by-side in paradise is a great inequality, children, individuals, families and communities who need help - help to realise potential - help to address the inequalities - up-for-it?
Is Brazil Safe?
Absoulutely, providing you stay within the orientation guidelines which we give you upon arrival. Notwithstanding, all of our projects and locations have been set-up and chosen with you in mind, in addition to having optimum benefit for brazilians. In a nutshell - we would never compromise your safety and well being.

Can I Volunteer on Multiple Projects?
Sure you can, not only on multiple projects but at multiple destinations too. However, so that you and the project may gain the most benefit, combination volunteering is only available if you commit to a minimum of 5 weeks - in total.
What is Included in the Program Cost?
All our programs include food and accommodation. Placement|project work, orientation, airport pick-up, transfer to accommodation, in-country support and 24 hour emergency support.

Return flights, travel insurance, personal spending money, transfer to airport after program has ended.
Will I get recognition of my volunteer or language program.
Absolutely, we can provide you with written verification and a report|reference (if you so wish) of the program you undertook.
Why should I volunteer and travel with you?
Our organisation specializes and utilises all efforts and resources in Brazil. It makes sense to choose an organisation which utilises your program fee for the benefit of the end-user, rather than spend huge amounts on worldwide marketing programs and other resources which dont benefit you or Brazil.
How does the application process work?
As soon as you have decided which placement or travel experience you wish to apply for, you will need to complete the on-line application form.
We will then contact you within 48 hours.
As soon as we have offered and confirmed your place a deposit of $200 or £100 (other currencies available upon request) secures your place on the project or travel placement. However, if your program start is less than 10 weeks away, then you must pay the full amount due. If your project requires a resume you should sent this to us immediately. A volunteer or travel pack will be sent to you and one of our advisors will contact you shortly after to ensure that your project suits you and that you understand what your experience will entail. We then guide you through the pre-departure process, and advise you on visa application (if applicable), flights, inoculations and even what you will need to pack.
Please note, the deposit is non-refundable.
How do I pay?
You may pay online using our secure Verified by Visa System, or with American Express. You may also pay using the Swift Banking System.
Do I need to speak Portuguese?
All our programs have some language training, the amount of tuition depends on which project you have chosen.
Do I need a visa?
We will give you directions on how to apply for a visa, however you must apply and pay for this yourself. As a guide, Europeans dont usually need to apply for a visa to come to Brazil, However, American, Australian and Canadian nationals must apply to the Brazilian consulate in their home country - if required, we will help you with this process.
Who can travel or volunteer with volunteerbrazil.com?
Anyone between the ages of 16 - 80, regardless of background, nationality or qualifications (under 18s may need parental or legal guardian consent).
Are there restrictions?
All placements are subject to the application process, if your unsuccessful in your application for a placement you will be told the reason why.
When are the projects available?
Our placements are on-going sustainable projects, we usually have 2 arrival dates each month; the 1st and 3rd Monday. However, some projects such as animal conservation maybe seasonal.
Do I need to supply references?
Yes, you do - on our application form we ask for 2 references - One must be professional and the other can be a personal reference. However, where possible we do prefer two professional references.
We almost always follow-up your references, particularly the professional sources.
