Volunteering in Brazil - A Typical Day...
-----------------------------------------------

Many prospective volunteers ask us , ¨what is a typical day, for a volunteer¨ ?

  • The following represents a typical day volunteering, this would be after you have had orientation and language tuition.
  • 7.00am rise and shine (hopefully bright eyed and bushy-tailed)
  • 7.30am breakfast
  • 7.50am leave for your project
  • 8.30 arrive at your project (volunteer work and project activities, all morning)
  • 12.30pm lunch (usually at project)
  • 1.00pm (project work resumes - usually different activities from the morning)
  • 3.00pm (your volunteering work ends - its play time)
  • 3.30pm (maybe a little shopping or a cool drink with a friend)
  • 5.30pm (arrive at your accommodation/homestay)
  • 6.30pm dinner and chat
  • 8.00pm (project preparation for following day)
  • 8.45pm socialising with new friends or other volunteers (or both)
  • Bed time will depend on whether you are a party animal or a party pooper...either-way you will sleep soundly - because at 7.00am a new and exciting day beckons...
