Recife and Olinda Orphanage Help Program

If you can give support and positive direction to boys and girls - from babies to teens - and spend time playing with them, getting them ready for school, helping to cook meals and snacks for them, help them with their homework and such like. If you can act as a mentor, role - model and parent figure for these kids, most of whom have never known their natural parents then this project is for you!

What kind of skills do  I need?

You will have a love for children and be able and willing to give that love along with care, patience and understanding.

  Your Role as a Volunteer

You will be involved in the day to day care of the children and be involved with preparing their meals, dressing them for school, arranging games and activities. Perhaps teaching some English too or arranging creative activities such as drawing or arts and crafts.

Why the placement  needs you!

Most of our orphanage projects rely entirely on charitable donations.  Volunteer help is essential to our orphanage communities. In short without the help of volunteers like you they would have to close, leaving the children with no alternative than to join the hundreds of thousands of street children already in Brazil

Accommodation

You may select to stay in a small hotel, or in a homestay with a Brazilian family (hotel is subject to availability, and may incur an additional cost).Your location will be either Recife or Olinda, if you have a preference, please tell us.
