This wonderful 2 - 4 week Gap Year Program features travel to the historic areas of Recife and Olinda, on the north-east coast of Brazil. Immerse yourself in Brazilian history, cultural wonders, breathtaking scenery, and Brazilian art and drama. After your first few days sampling the delights of these two cities you can, if you wish, get down to some serious work with street children, or perhaps volunteer with orphans, maybe you prefer to volunteer with Brazilian youth or even teach English - the choice is yours, entirely! 

 

      

Whether a gap year, short career break, or university vacation , our volunteer -Venture offers an experience you won’t find on the normal tourist trail. NEW You may now choose any of our projects (except Conservation) as part of your Volunteer and Venture Gap Year Program. Go to our Projects page and choose your Program.

 

            

The program fee includes food and accomodation, Portuguese language class(es), and itinerary.

Dont forget , you may if you wish, combine 2 or more projects to make the most of your Gap Year, or University Vacation. 

In addition to this we will give you an extra week if you book a 4 week gap year program. For instance - book for 4 weeks - and get an extra weeks food, accommodation and placement FREE - PAY FOR 4 WEEKS AND GET 5

Accommodation

You may select to stay in a small hostel, or in a homestay with a Brazilian family. Your location will be either Recife or Olinda, if you have a preference, please tell us.

Generally speaking, choose a  homestay for better cultural immersion. If you prefer more independence, the hotel option would perhaps be more suitable.

 (There may be an extra cost supplement for hostel/hotel accommodation - please check at the time of booking).
